A Complex Structure Distilled

Infographic for Non-profit Foundation

Challenge:

The communications director/writer for Invisible Wounds Foundation came to me with a request for an infographic to help visually explain the structure of the foundation and how it is being created to solicit and distribute funds.

Process:

The foundation was established with a somewhat complex set up, impossible to distill into a single cohesive graphic. The writer divided the process into four main steps: establishing relationships with existing entities, forming initiatives to fundraise, creating an advisory panel, and committing funds to programs approved by the panel. These steps were visually represented by a type of flowchart, utilizing the circular shapes and bold colors of the organization’s existing branding. Blue and gold represent the internal parties and grey represents external partners.

Final Design:

This four-part diagram is bookended by the organizations mission and vision statements and laid out in a long digital diagram and a letter-sized PDF for print distribution.
