Creating a Brand to Reflect a Founder’s Ethos

Challenge:

A salon owner came to me seeking to update her website and in the course of our initial discussion, she expressed her desire for a more communicative brand to reflect her personal and professional focus on health, nature, and well-being.

Process:

I started with a new logo for her salon. She was looking for something that would express curly hair expertise as well as her natural, organic vibe. I explore a few design ideas, incorporating colors and imagery drawn from nature and shapes that hint at curls. Shown here are the three initial designs presented to the client.

Final Design:

The client chose one logo and a few tweaks later, we had the base of the new brand. I adapted a stock WordPress theme with our new color palette and built a simple, informative site to drive customers to her booking page and affiliate links. The before and after website design is shown here.
