Airlink, Inc. 15th Anniversary
Challenge:
Airlink asked me to take their exisiting logo and give it a refresh for their 15th anniversary. The light and dark blue color palette was to remain, and they requested the addition of a safety-orange color to reflect their work, which is coordinating relief flights for NGOs with their airline partners.
Process:
A number of design concepts were presented, ranging from simple to complex. The client chose this concept with a large “15” interacting with the arch in the logo. Multiple orange color options were also presented, bearing in mind color contrast and web accessibility.
Final Design:
No existing typeface worked just perfectly for the 15, so I made significant changes to the type for the best balance versus the existing logo. An abbreviated version of the logo with just an initial “A” was also created for use in certain situations. Shown here is an example LinkedIn post showing the use of the logo as an avatar and in video.
